Arusha National Natural History Museum

Established in 1987, the National Natural History Museum is the primary museum of the seven natural history museums in Tanzania. The Museum is situated in Arusha town, the main tourist hub in East Africa. It is housed in the Boma, a former German colonial military compound which was built in 1900s. The core task of the museum is twofold; the collection and preservation of information on natural heritage, and the education and dissemination of such information through exhibitions and publications.

The Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre is located in Arusha, Tanzania. It is a place where the past and present of the Tanzania's 120-plus tribes can be viewed in a single compound. The centre boasts of various carvings, gemstones, artifacts, clothing and books.

Ela Nairobi

The Empakaai Crater or Embagai is a collapsed volcanic caldera that is 300 meters high and 6 kilometers wide located in Naiyobi ward of Ngorongoro District in Arusha Region of Tanzania. The Crater is filled by a deep alkaline lake that occupies around 75% of the Crater's bottom and is approximately 85 meters deep.

Engare Sero

The 300 square meter site of Engare Sero, Tanzania, is the largest human fossil footprint site that has ever been discovered in Africa. It preserves over 400 human footprints in an ancient volcanic mudflow from nearby Oldoinyo L’engai, a still-active volcano in the East African Rift, which were hardened when the wet ash dried almost like concrete. The footprints are estimated to have been made between about 6,000 and 19,000 years ago and represent the distinct pathways of at least 20 different individuals.

Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara is a lake located in Monduli District of Arusha Region, Tanzania and is the seventh-largest lake of Tanzania by surface area, at 470-square-kilometre .It is a shallow, alkaline lake in the Natron-Manyara-Balangida branch of the East African Rift.The northwest quadrant of the lake (about 200 sq, km.) is included within Lake Manyara National Park and it is part of the Lake Manyara Biosphere Reserve, established in 1981 by UNESCO as part of its Man and the Biosphere Programme.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park is a protected area in Tanzania's Arusha and Manyara Regions, situated between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley. It is administered by the Tanzania National Parks Authority, and covers an area of 325 km2 including about 230 km2 lake surface. More than 350 bird species have been observed on the lake. Since the 1920s, Lake Manyara area was used for sports hunting.[3] In 1957, a game reserve was established.

Mount Meru is a dormant stratovolcano located 70 kilometres (43 mi) west of Mount Kilimanjaro in southeast Arusha Region, Tanzania. Mount Meru, also known as Sumeru, Sineru or Mahāmeru, is the sacred five-peaked mountain of Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist cosmology and is considered to be the centre of all the physical, metaphysical and spiritual universes.

Ngaresero Waterfall

The Ngare Sero Waterfall is in the Lake Natron region, just below the foot of the Ol Doinyo Lengai Mountain. Several Maasai villages are found . The Ngare Sero waterfall hike in the Great Rift Valley is a true fan favourite.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a protected area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Ngorongoro District, 180 km west of Arusha City in Arusha Region, Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s biggest intact caldera and home to 30,000 wild animals, including leopard, elephant, lion and rare black rhinos.

‪Ngurdoto Crater‬

Ngurdoto Crater is a volcanic crater in Meru District, Arusha Region, Tanzania. The crater is 3.6 km in diameter at its widest and 100 metres deep. Ngurdoto Crater is surrounded by forest whilst the crater floor is a swamp. It is located in Arusha National Park.

Ol Doinyo Lengai

Ol Doinyo Lengai lies in Tanzania,16 kilometres south of Lake Natron and 120 kilometres northwest of Arusha. Ol Doinyo Lengai is an active volcano in Tanzania. It consists of a volcanic cone with two craters, the northern of which has erupted during historical time. Uniquely for volcanoes on Earth, it has erupted natrocarbonatite, an unusual, cold and highly fluid type of magma.

Olduvai Gorge Museum

The Olduvai Gorge Museum is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Northern Tanzania on the edge of the Olduvai Gorge. The museum was founded by Mary Leakey and is now under the jurisdiction of the Tanzanian government's Department of Cultural Antiquities and is managed by the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. It is a museum dedicated to the appreciation and understanding of the Olduvai Gorge and Laetoli fossil sites.

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park is a large national park in northern Tanzania that stretches over 14,763 km2. It is located in eastern Mara Region and northeastern Simiyu Region and contains over 1,500,000 hectares of virgin savanna. The park was established in 1940. The Serengeti is well known for the largest annual animal migration in the world of over 1.5 million blue wildebeest and 250,000 zebra along with smaller herds of Thomson's gazelle and eland. The national park is also home to the largest lion population in Africa.

‪Tarangire National Park‬

Tarangire National Park , with many African Elephants per square kilometers than any other national park in the country, lies about 120Km southwest of Arusha City. The Park got its name from Tarangire River that flows through the centre of the Park and form the dry season refuge for wildlife especially elephants.

The School of St Jude, Sisia Campus

The School of St. Jude is a charity-funded school located in the city of Arusha, in the northern Arusha Region of Tanzania. With its three campuses, the school provides free primary and secondary education to children in the Arusha Region. It also provides board for over 1,000 students and employs over 270 local Tanzanian staff members. It was founded by Australian Gemma Sisia in 2002, based on the belief that education is the best way to fight poverty.
